Location Based Instant Messaging project (LBIM) will be consisting of a Server and a Client Application that enables Location Based Instant Messaging Solution.

The Client Application will be a J2ME application that works with MIDP 2 CLDC 1 Java Enabled devices. The purpose of the application would work perfectly with JSR-179 enabled phones. Still the IM and moving around the map can be done with any device.

The Server Application would be a Simple J2EE application. The Server and Client uses own protocol code named as LBIM Protocol. The Project is initiated to do as University Third Year Project.

We are working on this to come up with a Valuable Social Networking Solution that could be further expanded.
